SS 439 Sarzanese Valdera

A fantastic twisty road in the heart of Tuscany.

The SS 439 in Southern Tuscany is one of the best roads in the region for a road-trip with your supercar. It is full of exciting turns, and long straights, sweeping all along the rolling tuscan hills.

In the north part from Lajatico to Pomarance it is your typical Tuscan experience. Medium high speed, sweeping turns and enough straights to stretch the legs on your Ferrari, all the while surrounded by vineyards for many kilometers around you.

From Pomarance until the south end, it becomes tighter and more demanding. There is a great amount of elevation changes, and the tight turns never stop coming. The road takes you from the heart of Tuscany to the very south of the region. This transition provides a variety of natural surroundings around you as you go. The overall experience is incredibly engaging and beautiful, for both the driver and co-driver.

The experience is truly picturesque. The asphalt is almost brand new, and it is a perfect road to take if you plan to visit the lovely Hotel L'Andana, which is situated about an hour south from the end of this road.
