Grand Hotel Tremezzo

5 star Hotel in Tremezzo (Lombardy / Italy)

An Italian heavyweight in luxury, Olympic class, hotel at Como Lake.

Grand Hotel Tremezzo

The Grand Hotel Tremezzo is an iconic art nouveau masterpiece sitting on the western shores of Lake Como. It opened already in 1910 and was modelled after the great hotels in Europe during the period. Unlike Villa d'Este, which was once a lavish residence, Grand Hotel Tremezzo was purpose-built as a hotel from the start.

The hotel quickly became very popular during the Belle Epoque, where decadence and excess were in fashion. High society from all over the world had Lake Como as a favourite destination.

Grand Hotel Tremezzo welcomed noble, aristocratic and bourgeois families, treating them to plush accommodation and glamorous entertainment. Never-ending parties, often spanning several days. The roaring twenties must have been a fabulous time to be alive!

The hotel has several pools, a fantastic restaurant with a terrace and beautiful views of the lake. It also has a park, a tennis court and a small marina where you can take a water taxi to Bellagio or wherever you want to go.

Being a heavyweight in Italian luxury hotels, the rooms are very costly, especially during the high season which spans from June to September. With the colourful interiors and immaculate service, a stay here takes you back to a more beautiful time. And, you will be treated like royalty.
