Pompeii

Attraction in Pompeii (Campania / Italy)

One of the most famous tourist destinations in Italy

Pompeii

Just south of Naples lies one of Italy's most famous tourist destinations – the archaeological excavation of the Roman city of Pompeii. Haven't been here? Then forget everything you think you know about this place. It is not a small at all. No, the area excavated is huge. About a hundred times as big as you think.

A regular tourist visit to Pompeii takes about three hours. Then, with the guide, you will only skim a little bit on the surface among the ruins of the old city.

If you instead want a thorough view of Pompeii, it takes – hold your breath – three days. Now you may understand how enormous the excavation really is. It is a whole city that has been dug up and dusted off – not just a couple of houses and a crossroad.

It doesn't matter if you like history or not. Pompeii is awesome. Very much worth a visit. Don't forget to bring a guide. There are guides to book directly at checkout when you arrive. You will gain a unique insight into how the Romans lived their lives. They were real sluts, all of them.
