A classic mountain pass in Switzerland
Connecting Glarus to the east with Altdorf in the west lies this classic mountain pass. Driving from the east the road can be quite narrow while ascending to the peak. The road is wider on the western part, after the peak, allowing more fun with a Ferrari or Lamborghini supercar. The scenery is spectacular.
The road hosts an historic hillclimb event, known as the Klausenpassrennen. In 1993 the Klausenrennen memorial run took place, and is now held (nominally) every four years for vintage cars.
A perfect companion on your next road trip to the most beautiful country in the world.
