This is one of the top rated vineyards in Tuscany. Located on the hills near San Gimignano, it produces some of the best wines in the region.

The wine tastings held by the extremely charismatic owner Pier Luigi Giachi are amazing, the wines are presented with passion and a great deal of humour. The wines, from white Vernaccia di San Gimignano to Tenuta Torciano's Super Tuscans are paired with different types of ham and cheese.

Among other things, you will also have their famous lasagna with truffle olive oil. It is completely out of this world. It will make you crave for more, forever longing to return.

There is a good variety of locally produced wines here, in varying levels of exclusivity, but it is important to note that none of the wines from Tenuta Torciano are sold to stores - in fact they can only be bought directly from the winery.
