A charming hotel in a castle at the top of a hill in Tuscany

Twenty minutes north of Siena, in the middle of Chianti, is a great hotel. It is built in an old castle at the top of a hill. Charming rustic-style rooms. Pool and spa facilities, as well as tennis courts. Very good restaurant, with an incredible wine cellar.

This is one of our favourite hotels in Tuscany, that probably deserves five stars and not just four. For the quality, it is very reasonably priced. Its location is amazing, near both Siena and aslo somewhat to Florence. Great roads in every direction.

You can stay here for several nights and spend days exploring the area. One day to Greve in Chianti, one to Siena, and why not continue to San Gimignano. With this great location anything is possible.

There are rental Vespa scooters at the hotel. Rent them and do a Vespa tour of Chianti one day. Have fun!
