SP50 - Nivolet Pass

The mountain pass made famous from the movie The Italian Job

This road is known from the movie The Italian Job which was filmed in the 60s. This is, like Strada del Moncenisio, a real alp-pass. It offers both spectacular scenery and endless amounts of curves.

To find the easiest way here, go to the town of Ceresole Reale, which is located near Turin. In Ceresole Reale, take road SP50 towards Colle del Nivolet. If you drive from Turin you continue along the road. It is as easy as that.

A little warning. The road can get a little narrow at times. Sometimes the railings are missing. If you are afraid of heights, this road can sometimes get a little too exciting. However the nature is very beautiful, especially near the last part of the lake.
