For the 2024 Europa tour, we return to the Alps and the most beautiful roads in the world.
The start is in Badrutt’s Palace in St Moritz, Switzerland. The next day we drive the beautiful Albula pass to Chur and later Oberalp to Andermatt and the über luxurious CHEDI Andermatt hotel.
As always, the tour has a mix of breathtaking Alpine passes, some that we have visited before and some new. We will drive in Switzerland and Italy, before heading south for the Cote d’Azur with Monaco and Saint-Tropez.
All hotels en route are iconic heavyweight luxury venues. Here is the hotel selection for our 2024 tour:

Each day will be roughly 4 hours of driving. Sometimes less, sometimes a bit more. Besides driving we will do stops for special activities and events along the road, like vista points, photo opportunities and such.
The time schedule for each day is: breakfast at 9.00, start driving at 10.00, lunch en route, arrival at the hotel during the afternoon and dinner at 20.00.
Welcome to Switzerland and Badrutt’s Palace. This is an iconic five-star hotel located in Sankt Moritz. Arrive in the early afternoon and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake from the hotel pool, or afternoon tea in the Grand Hall.
We will have a welcome mingle and a driver’s briefing near the Grand Hall at 19:00, before we move to Chesa Veglia for dinner at about 20:00.

Today we start the driving. And, a great driving day it is. After breakfast in Badrutt's Palace, we drive start driving. Going in a northward direction, we will first drive the Albula pass, before arriving in Flims where we stop for lunch. The final bit to Andermatt we go over the Oberalp. These are all amazing mountain passes.
In the afternoon we arrive to our hotel, The über luxurious CHEDI. Tonight we have dinner in their highly acclaimed Asian fusion restaurant.

The best driving day, ever. From Andermatt, we drive the insanely great Susten pass towards the village of Innertkirchen. Then, we take a left and continue on Grimsel and Furka Pass, where we stop at Belvedere for lunch.
These three roads together are nirvana for all fanatics of active driving. It does not get any better than this.
After lunch we drive the Gotthard pass to Lugano and Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola. This evening we have dinner by the lake.

Using the superfast Italian Autostrada, we drive south past Milan towards Pavia and lunch at Trattoria da Carla. A great restaurant serving genuine Italian food, perfectly hidden from any tourists.
After lunch we continue the Autostrada towards the Ligurian coast, driving the most entertaining section of any motorway in the world, between Seravalle and Genova.
The last part we drive along the coast before we arrive in Santa Margherita and Grand Hotel Miramare. Tonight we have dinner in the hotel garden facing the gulf of Portofino.

Time to hit the road again, for a great drive on the Italian Riviera towards Monaco. We will use the A12 motorway, with selected parts of SS1 Via Aurelia to Ventimiglia and finally Monaco.
In Monaco we stay check in at Fairmont hotel, and have lunch at Nikki Beach. Dinner tonight will be in Buddha bar, situated next to the hotel.

On this final day of driving, we have two options. Either you leave the hotel in the morning, drive to Castellane for lunch and continue to Saint-Tropez on Route Napoleon. This drive is about two hours to Castellane, and then another two hours to Saint-Tropez after lunch.
The other option is to sleep in and drive directly to Saint-Tropez from Monaco at lunchtime. After checking in to Hotel Byblos in the afternoon, we have drinks by the pool and then leave for L'Opera in the harbour for dinner at about 19:30.

No driving today. Instead, we have a late breakfast by the pool in Byblos hotel. Later, at about 15:00, shuttles pick us from the hotel and drive us to a beach club where we have lunch (and maybe something to drink). The closing dinner will be in Byblos Hotel by the pool.
