Due to the extreme number of cars registered for next years tour, 55(!) cars and 120 people so far, we had to change the starting point of the road trip. Porto Piccolo in Italy does not have near enough capacity for us - the hotel is not big enough.
Instead, the tour starts in Ljubljana, which is in Slovenia. Ljubljana is difficult as hell to spell, but a very pretty town. We will be staying in the newly built five star Hotel InterContinental, which is in the middle of the city.
A fun detail - we are now visiting almost all the capitals of the former Yugoslav country. We are only missing Sarajevo and Skopje in (North) Macedonia.
It will be insanely fun to do the tour with so many cars. Everywhere we go and stop will be a bit of that positive confusion and carnival-like atmosphere which we all like. Also, this year, visiting the big cities! Arriving to Belgrade or Zagreb with a seemingly endless amount of exotic cars will be brilliant.
As always, you can find the updated itinerary, and the list of registered cars, on the event page: https://www.granturismoevents.com/gran-turismo-adriatica-2021
