About us
Gran Turismo Events was founded more than ten years ago, by members of the swedish Ferrari club. The idea was to organize the best social and driving events for owners of high-performance luxury cars, regardless of brand.
Pursuing this vision, Gran Turismo Events quickly grew outside of Scandinavia, and is today one of the most recognized motor event organizers in Europe.
The key to the success is the focus on quality and fun. When organized by Gran Turismo Events, the driver knows that no expenses are spared and he can expect an experience way beyond normal.

"The price tag might be higher than a standard driving event, but the experience and value is so much better that it simply can not be compared to anything. Yes, our drivers pay a premium, but they also get so much more for their money. Less cars on track means more driving time. Five star hotels, restaurants from Guide Michelin, celebrities like Sabine Schmitz as instructors. Special events like flying in a helicopter at full speed just 25 meters over the tarmac of the Nordschleife, or going full speed in a city closed down to other traffic. In light of these unique experiences, the price becomes second priority - a bargain. Our goal is to over-achieve and overwhelm the participants with surprises and special happenings every time, creating buzz throughout Europe in the very closed community of super car owners", says Peter Ternström, founder Gran Turismo Events.
This strategy has created a very loyal customer base, with many drivers attending every event during the season, not matter if it is driving on the Nurburgring or in the Stelvio Pass.

Every year, approximately five or six events are organized. They range between hard core track driving on historic race tracks like Spa-Francorchamps or Nurburgring, to more lifestyle-oriented events with track elements included in exotic places like Poland or Estonia. We also organize road trips through Europe on what probably are the best roads in the world.

Our team of instructors are Nurburgring Officials and well known racing car drivers like Tony Ring, Luca Sadun, Hendrik Kebben and Sabine Schmitz.

Gran Turismo Events is one of very few organizers that have a close working relation to Nurburgring AGand rent the entire facilities for the event Gran Turismo Nurburgring each spring. This happening has now reached cult status and is considered the most high-end event on the Nurburgring, attracting the elite of super car owners from all over the world. Using the above vision on quality we only allow 120 cars to register and can guarantee each participant the unique experience of driving lap after lap without seeing any other traffic. This is only possible in one other environment - in computer games.

The annual event organized in Poland - Gran Turismo Polonia - is the most important super car event in the former eastern bloc. During the opening ceremony we build a temporary racing track in the middle of Poznan, Poland, and have the permission to drive full speed in the middle of the city. In 2012, this attracted more than 60 000 spectators - more than any football game in Poland for EURO 2012. It also was broadcasted on live TV for another staggering two million viewers. The event continued with three days of driving on the Tor Poznan race track.
As the grand finale we always organize Gran Turimso Europa in the end of the year. This is, by far, our most exclusive event. It takes the participants from Lake Como to Saint-Tropez on what probably are the best roads in the world. Eight days of total joy on mountain passes in the Alps and Route Napoleon. The participants stay in hotels like Villa d'Este on Como and Byblos in Saint-Tropez, with dinners in the best restaurants en route. This event only has 25 places and is usually sold out a year before it is held.
With fans and clients belonging to the economic elite of the world, we often do special events with companies seeking to create closer relationships with the clients. The official introduction of the Lamborghini LP-560 for the Scandinavian market was actually held during the event Gran Turismo Polonia. The Lamborghini concessionare said: ”all my clients are here anyway”. The hybrid super car Porsche 918 Spyder was presented / launched during the autumn event of Gran Turismo Nurburgring in mid September, before it was shown to prospects and key clients in Weissach a few days later. Why? Because the drivers of Gran Turismo Events are the most likely to purchase one.

- Participants attending are from all over the world. We have drivers attending from South Africa and even North America and Monticello driving club.
